Shauni specialises in two very different fields: hand therapy and jaw physiotherapy (TMJ). She is also a certified GLA:D therapist.
Specialisations
She treats hand, wrist and thumb complaints such as trigger finger, De Quervain, carpal tunnel syndrome and osteoarthritis, as well as recovery after a fracture or surgery. On the jaw side she treats TMD complaints: jaw pain, clenching, grinding and tense chewing muscles, including related head and neck complaints.
Treatment approach
Shauni likes to get to the bottom of a complaint: where does it come from and, above all, what can we do about it? Her approach is personal, practical and goal-oriented, and she makes sure you understand what is going on and what you can do yourself.
Personal
Sitting still is not her thing: she loves sport and being outdoors, and brings that active mindset into her treatments.
