Yvonne has specialised in geriatric physiotherapy since 2010, guiding people with a higher biological age and complex health problems. She is also our Parkinson's and pulmonary therapist.
Specialisations
Her fields include Parkinson's (in cooperation with ParkinsonNet), lung conditions such as COPD and asthma, fall prevention and balance training, and the GLA:D programme for knee and hip osteoarthritis, including rehabilitation after joint replacement.
Background
Active in physiotherapy since 1985, with work experience in Germany, the United States and across Brabant. Member of ParkinsonNet and the Geriatric Network Eindhoven.
Treatment approach
Quality of life is at the centre of her treatments. She works closely with the patient, and where useful with partners, children or caregivers, and coordinates with occupational therapists, speech therapists and dietitians.
Personal
In her free time Yvonne enjoys her horses together with her husband, keeps fit and loves to travel.
